I did not begin Casu & Co. because I wanted to build a company. I began it because I inherited a way of looking at buildings, at streets, at neighbourhoods, and at time — and I believed that this way of looking deserved an institution around it.

Our family’s roots reach into Sardinia and Vienna, two places that understand permanence in different registers. Barcelona is where I now build the house from. What I hope we are creating is not a portfolio, but a body of work — one whose measure is taken in generations rather than in quarters.

Casu & Co. will invest quietly and rarely. Every acquisition is a promise to preserve something — a façade, a proportion, a light, a way of life — for those who will inherit it after us. This is the discipline, and this is the pleasure.

If, in fifty years, this Charter still reads as true and this portfolio still stands as evidence, then the work will have been worth doing.
